10's are by far the most responsive subs for metal! Make sure you run your amp crossover no les than 80 hertz. "hz" Alpine is fine for this. My favorite is the MTX thunder series subs....

Think outside the box. Literally. You don't have to go through the passenger compartment...you can run the wires under the vehicle. Just be sure to tie them up well. Good luck.
